Collection: Embroidered Vintage Linen|eskcollected
A beautiful range of products all hand stitched by Pat Douglas, at Carlenrig Farm in the beautiful Teviotdale Hills. The pieces are made from vintage French linens and cottons, which Pat sources direct from brocantes in the French countryside. The beautiful hand stitching on linen is inspired by seed heads and wild flowers which are found in the surrounding borders countryside.
Pat also specialises in Sashiko style embroidery: Sashiko (刺し子, (meaning "little pokes" or "small piercing") is a form of functional embroidery that originated in Japan, first used as a way for farmers to mend their worn clothing.
Each item is hand made and unique.
